Misc. Criticsm of the RVF Part 2 (Leonard D Neubache edition)

“Roosh’s forum is dead. The fool just doesn’t know it yet. What he did spits in the face of every man he encouraged to better themselves, and the casual bans he doled out for wrongthink are just the icing on this cake of dogshit. He’s become exactly what he always railed against. He just thinks the Good Lord gives him a pass for it now, that’s all.

And who’s left now? Anybody with any real insights? As far as I can see, the board’s left to insane turbo-autists like AnonymousBosch (who’s a liar) and Leonard D Neubache (who’s just a fucking idiot) while guys like Tuthmosis and Excelsior have long since packed it up and moved on tells you everything you need to know about the sorry state of that shithole.

Fucking pathetic. This is why the Jessica Valentis of the world laugh at the “Manosphere”, if that even exists anymore.”

If you want my real opinion as to where Roosh went astray, it’s the obsession with idiotic one-dimensional measuring himself by notch and flag counts, as idiotic and one-dimensional as all the other numbers people use to measure themselves: rep count, likes received, dick size, net worth, countries visited. (Speaking of which, please do not rep me or like my posts. I utterly despise those features of MyBB.) Folks, quality is what matters, not quantity. If Roosh had focused on the quality of the girls he had relationships with, rather than mindlessly trying to up his notch and flag counts, maybe he wouldn’t feel so empty now.

Slow but steady physical exercise is extremely important to mental health for many men. By this I mean neither cardio nor weight bearing exercise, but rather things like hiking, gardening, chopping wood, manual labor of any sort. Sitting at a desk all day monitoring RVF and then hanging around bars at night trying to up his notch count, is ultimate going to cause a man’s mind to be affected. I think this is part of what caused Roosh’s recent hallucinations about talking to God. The mushroom trip might also have been a factor: drugs and alcohol are both a bad idea, as you younger guys will eventually discover.

My most recent banning from RVF was because I got exasperated by some closet case having a gay panic meltdown at the idea that a man who marries a non virgin is effectively rubbing penises against other men who’ve used the girl’s vagina previously, and that he is effectively kissing other men’s penises when he kisses the mouth of a girl who previously sucked some other guy. The fact that Roosh was indulging this nitwit in a serious forum conversation caused me to lose my temper. I suggested that the ideal wife for Roosh would be an escort with 1000+ notch count, but still young and pretty, who was sick of whoring and wanted to start a family. Now yes, I was trolling but there actually is some wisdom there. I’m assuming Roosh does indeed want a family and has indeed become a devout Christian. A man like him is just not fit for a virgin. A man should marry his equal. If you’ve been a man whore and have reformed, then you should marry a woman whore who has reformed.

His latest book, Lady, I haven’t read, but the description is truly cringe worthy. As for the book prior to that, Game, I did read that and reviewed it on his site, trying to be nice and see the positive side, which is that it provides consolation to loser guys that being a winner guy isn’t all that great after all, and if the choice is between doing all the shit Roosh does to get laid versus wanking to porn, well hey, wanking looks pretty damn appealing. Roosh’s “game” reminds me of selling fruit cakes door to door as one of the requirements for my Boy Scout’s salesmanship merit badge. (I’m a older guy, you understand, and teenage boys actually could knock on stranger’s doors in the 1970’s without causing the police to show up.) Pushing a product that no one wants. If I’m not mistaken, I believe Roosh even suggests that “foot in the door” trick, so that the girl (on his case) or prospective fruit cake buyer (in my case) can’t slam the door until you’ve finished your sales spiel. Roosh isn’t a bad looking guy and, as I understand it, his standards for women’s beauty aren’t unreasonable. If he hadn’t been such a fanatic misogynistic with these double standards that said man-slut okay but woman-slut not okay, and hadn’t been so obsessed with notch and flag counts, maybe it wouldn’t have been so difficult to get laid.

I was actually relieved to be banned that last time because it’s such a PITA hanging out on a forum where the slightest misstep leads to a permanent ban. 99% of the time I’m a calm guy. But occasionally, I lose it and out comes a stream of “fuckwit, fucktard, fuckhead” and similiar expressions reflecting my general intelligence and skills with the English language not. Does an occasional outburst really merit a permanent ban?

If Roosh and his followers think they can affect the course of world history, they are sadly mistaken. History has a mind of its own. The direction the world is going is clearly unsustainable (exploding populations in Africa, in particular) and so change will occur eventually, but those who think they are leading this change are in fact just people who spotted a parade already in progress and then ran to the front of the parade. If you personally want to be part of the parade, whether at the front or in the middle or at the rear, by all means do so. However, the parade is going to continue with or without you, so if you don’t want to participate, go do what you want to do, like living a life of unbridled hedonism like me.

And yes, I’m a monger now that I’m old and can’t get what I want for free. Always had to keep that hidden over at RVF. And the crazy thing is, promotion of mongering is actually the best way to maintain the moral society Roosh and his followers say they want. Instead of corrupting all girls, men share a small number of corrupted girls and leave the others alone. Bible even approves of certain whores. Whore who helped the Jews break into Jericho. Whore Esther who saved the Jews from extermination. Etc.

Probably other things I could say, but enough for now.”

Greetings fellow RVF refugees…

Though my account is still technically in good standing at RVF (under the same name), it would be a massive understatement to say I have felt at home there for quite a while. It’s Roosh’s approach to his new faith that has put me off, not so much that he converted. I suspect he will close up shop entirely before long. He seems unstable and emotionally volatile. I would even venture a guess that someone else is pulling his strings from behind the scenes. The rapid conversion throws up all kinds of red flags.

I knew when Roosh (and subsequently, RVF) dove head first into politics that it was the beginning of the end. I can’t even articulate exactly how I knew that but I did. It became a circle jerk of doomposting white nationalist nonsense.

All the above happened because Roosh wanted it to.

That is what nobody over there seemed to get; despite all the pissing and moaning about the forum turning political, nobody ever pointed the finger at Roosh himself, who is really to blame.

All the fedposting (leonard, among others) was going on right under Roosh’s watchful eye and with his tacit approval. But nobody would dare point that out for fear of being banned.

Roosh allowed all the quality posters to be chased away in order to preserve his cult of personality…which shrinks by the day.

I knew that once that schism became apparent that there would be no reconciliation.

Suits, OTR, it’s good to see you guys here!”

“Anyone else thought that LDN was a sock puppet of Roosh’s or did you believe that LDN was a 39 year old father of 5 living in Tasmania with his 9.7 Latina wife and 5 kids but still had time to ammass 20,000 post on a single forum ? Who else are probable roosh sock puppets ??”

^”

His post count was the primary reason why I didn’t buy his story. 20kish posts and these were not 1 liners…these were essays.

And it seemed too convenient that he was located somewhere super remote where there was no chance that he could have ever met up with anyone.

As for being a sockpuppet of Roosh himself, I doubt it.”

“I always wondered about super high post count posters like him or Zelcorpion/Simeon_Strangelight. How much can you really have going on in your personal and professional lives if you can rack up 20,000 posts on an internet forum over 3 or 4 years? Reading threads and posting is pretty time consuming. Especially if you’re making those big long 1000+ word posts – those guys must be spending literally hours a day on the forum.”

“Politics are mental masturbation for the weak of mind and will. The only “savior” in this life is waiting for each of us in the mirror”

We should be aware that there will likely be a contingent of spergy, autistic, Elliot Rogers wannabes who are going to follow us over from the RVF.

Why?

These types need to latch on to something that isn’t spergy or autistic. There is a reason they came over to RVF initially…that’s because RVF made them feel cooler. They need to be in proximity to those of higher social value. They erroneously believe that it positively impacts their social value. If they knew that everyone reading their posts was a big of a dork as they were, they wouldn’t bother posting.

I believe this is more of a sub conscience phenomenon rather than intentional.

It should come as no surprise to no one that their failure to grasp the core concepts of game (hell, of basic social interaction) has lead these types to believe they’re simply beyond such things. This is why you got the whole “RVF has grown past game, guys!!” talking point which was so liberally tossed around (as suits pointed out) whenever anyone mentioned that RVF is a game forum.

Funny how none of them ever shared any game insights…I wonder why that is”

“Roosh is a weirdo; everyone who knows me personally knows this has been my opinion for years. Even before I got banned for correcting a post of his (rightly).

Fuck him and his narcissism.”

It will be interesting to see how the mass exodus plays out. Obviously Doosh has demonstrated himself to be a crank before now.
In a way I had sympathy for him in the past. But he really did the Red Pill cause harm, IMO. Now he’s harming Christianity.
I’d call him a dickwad, but thats being unkind to complete dickwads. He knows what he’s doing. But sadly its now the rantings of a madman.

The vast majority of Roosh members seem to be cool. But there was a v small minority of wackos. I can see how it could be best to avoid a politics forum here. Because of the danger extremist loonies might pose to the stability and smooth running of Swoop.”

Hopefully we’ve all learned a valuable lesson about critical thinking, Groupthink, and conformity. One of the things I liked about RVF was the premium that was presumably placed on critical thinking. Unfortunately I came to discover that the prevalent modes of “critical thinking” exhibited are 1) assume everything everyone says is a lie (which is intellectually equivalent to assuming everyone is always telling the truth) and 2) toe the religious/political line and whatever tone the leader sets.

Some have suggested the new rules are about money or self-preservation. I think it’s just about demagoguery. After following along for several years it now seems clear to me that what Roosh really values more than anything else is adulation and being followed. Some have mentioned the cult-like atmosphere in this thread. That’s why someone as smart and cynical as him went gaga for Trump – polarizing political figures attract fully devoted followers willing to submit themselves to a leader figure. But political mobs are fickle, and realizing that this mob was no different, Roosh has abandoned that track.

Without commenting on the merits of any individual religions, I’ll simply note that turning to religion is a reliable way to whip people into a frenzy on your behalf. L. Ron Hubbard was quoted as saying that if you wanted to make some money you should start a religion. Joseph Smith, David Koresh, etc, etc, – charlatans who found it easy to manipulate easily manipulated people with religious sounding gobbledegook borrowing concepts and phrases from religion. The atmosphere over there is very dangerous, and Roosh is perceptive enough to realize that the environment was ripe for the introduction of his new doctrine.

A wonderfully ironic example is the introduction of the NPC meme. Many times Roosh will introduce a new term or concept and then people immediately begin parroting it. In this case it’s the idea that people (but only “left wing” people) are mindless conformists. If someone questioned some of the core tenets of the forum’s philosophy they would just be shouted down as NPC’s and shunned or banned. As for the ones doing the shunning…

I’ve always just assumed Leonard was a hen-pecked husband dominated by a fat miserable shrew. His only refuge is to hide in the computer room and to use women, Jews, homosexuals, Communists, and Muslims as punching bags on which to take out his rage. As others have pointed out, the sheer volume of posting would require several hours a day which doesn’t include reading all the responses, doing whatever “research” he does, and watching YouTube videos. He promotes himself as this model father figure for his sons, but the idea of him setting an example for sons is laughable when most of what they see is Dad typing furiously for hours at a time.

For Zelcorpion, the bottom line is that he’s certifiably insane and no strait jacket in the world is tight enough. He built an identity around hating Jews only to discover that he himself is 1/32 (or whatever) Jewish which caused him to blow a couple fuses. Now of course the kinder, gentler Simeon_Strangelight promotes ethnic cleansing, but not outright genocide. It’s ironic that someone who worships IQ and mentions it in every post (all 15,000+ of them) falls into the sweet spot of people who are most susceptible to totalitarian/fascist ideologues – above average IQ but sub-genius. That is to say, smart enough to follow chains of logic in an argument, but not quite smart enough to question the premises of the arguments or the motivations of those peddling them. He often lays out an argument and says “here’s the proof,” but the “proof” is some YouTube video of a guy talking or some no-budget cobbled together amateur mish-mash which happens to say exactly what he thinks. Again any claims as to what he’s accomplished in life are dubious at best as his style of posting and video viewing requires even more time than Leonard’s, perhaps 8 or more hours a day. Even if he has been able to retire, is that how successful people spend their unlimited free time? These are the people who act as Roosh’s toadies and enforce the limits of the discourse –Zelcorpion is one of the very very few people to actually pay to use the site so of course he’ll get some leeway and can’t be questioned. Regarding Game I’m sure we’ve all come across the concept of “creating a fun vibe” – the idea of these individuals or any of their followers doing anything of the sort is laughable.

If you were to survey the 1,000 happiest people in the world, I would bet a lot of money that 0 out of 1,000 of them would profess to hating an entire group of people and especially not one which comprises millions or even billions of members. Even if everything Leonard and Zel say about themselves and the world is true (and it’s not), I still wouldn’t want to subscribe to their toxic worldview if being like them was the result.

I’m not buying the mushroom revelation thing. Roosh needed a plausible way to explain (what seems on the surface to be) a sudden about face, and the mushroom experience explanation is a very clever way of accomplishing that. There’s so much information about it out there that it will be easy for someone who’s written dozens of books to put together a detailed account of the experience in a relatively convincing way without actually having had the experience. Erowid.org has firsthand accounts of thousands of experiences and that’s just one website. The whole thing is very questionable and it’s unfortunate that people aren’t willing to critically evaluate what’s going on. I can’t know what his motivations are, but I’m very confident that they are entirely self-serving. There is some good information at RVF so I expect to still read it, but I’ll be drifting towards other outlets. I personally love to travel (mostly to enjoy nature but I certainly don’t mind taking part in some foreign action) so hopefully I’ll have something to contribute.”

Reason this site exists

This site isn’t meant to obsessively hate on Roosh or the RooshVForum, but to give the people who disapprove of the direction it went the knowledge that they aren’t alone, the space to say what they’ve always wanted to say, and the direction to other forums/groups that fulfill the same niche the RVF used to fill.

Miscellaneous RVF Criticism (Part 1)

“Nah the bans have always been totally arbitrary. Anyone remember Houston/Screwston? There have been countless others who were purged for no real reason. Roosh is hyper-sensitive. He’s like a Persian Gyp Rosetti. —“

I didn’t like the banning of Hank Moody, It was one guy who came on around the same time as myself (2018) that had great post who was banned for stupid reasons. I wasn’t around in the golden days so whenever I saw roosh post something it felt more like a buzzkill than a legendary PUA. I also got a 1 week ban after they baited me into giving out “information”. They (Leonard and another guy) asked me if we “held hands” and he banned me for a week for Implying I fornicated. Also what’s the deal with Vladamir Pootang, He’s an excellent poster but i’m shock he’s giving in to roosh’s commands rather than moving or hell getting banned. —

(about Leonard D Neubache) I wish I could laugh at him but IMHO, he has serious anger issues which I think will eventually spill over in a tragic way. He is always quick to talk about hunkering down and expecting to confront “the feds”. He really isn’t able to express any emotion other than anger, which seems to be directed just about everywhere including fellow posters. —

I didn’t get banned but I knew with more posting it would be inevitable. I’m noticing some of the guys pushing for that site to go the religious route are cucks in disguise, gameless, or confused (roosh) a good example would be https://www.rooshvforum.com/thread-74414.html where most people are for being detached and view the value in learning game to be that way, but then there’s one completely opposed to it. Even in my https://www.rooshvforum.com/thread-74161.html post, you could see their true nature. They don’t really want to help you with relationships and to build one but rather indoctrinate you. Yes it was sorta a troll thread (with a little truth involved) but they fell for the bait. In simply believed that game is valuable regardless of the goal. Honestly, the slight misogynist in me believes this is a feminist plan. They’re attacking everything that brings men help, and the old roosh forum helped thousands (if not millions of lurkers) of men. —

Here’s the thing that bother me most. Their message is wildly overcompensating. It’s one thing to caution men against the dangers of hedonism, but the pendulum has swung to the point where they are advocating de facto MGTOW monk mode replete with NOFAP while waiting for some mythical tradcon unicorn to just arrive. Guess who would like nothing more than to see all but the top 1% of chads suppress and restrain their sexuality in this way? FEMINISTS! ^The infamous Gillette ad demonizing cold-approach So sure, they rail against sluttery, but on the male side they are actually playing into feminism. The whole “don’t fornicate until marriage” platform is hopelessly unrealistic in 2019. All they’re going to accomplish going down this road is trading bible verses and staying very much alone and horny (whether they want to acknowledge it or not). This anti-sex attitude is just as damaging to men as any of the toxic masculinity rhetoric out there. It leaves men just as frustrated and filled with shame. The sexual revolution is pretty far in the rearview mirror now. We have to live in the world that it’s created for us, emphasizing the positive and minimizing the negative. That’s what game was supposed to be about. But just fantasizing about bringing the 1950s back ain’t gonna accomplish jack. I really think Roosh himself would be happy to live in a cave and sermonize for the rest of his life. I just think he’s out of touch with anyone who has any desire to live a full life, unashamed, with all its pleasures. —

Suits banning is the canary in the coalmine moment where everyone starts to realize a purge is happening, even of valued pillar members who refuse to prostrate themselves at Roosh’s feet. As has been said elsewhere, expect LDN and Simeon to go the distance and remain on the forum. The fact that members are starting to realize their hedonism is the downfall of the western society and non-western dating culture is a bit that is worth gloating about. So much cognitive dissonance in action. Also, as has been said, the fact that movement on RVF seems cultlike, is beyond reproach. Stalinesque purges followed by almost bipolar/BPD upswings. Would you really be surprised if Roosh started an intentional living community at this point, or decamped to a ranch in Wyoming (like Kanye) or a cabin in the woods like Ted? I hold nothing against him for going back to his roots, but in all honesty his parents coulda hooked him up with an armenian/iranian girl a long time ago if that was what he wanted… But it wasn’t. He choose the life of globe-trotting rootless cosmopolitanism. A friend who met him, this is hearsay I guess, explained him best to me, “He is a neurotic guy, who has to have his i’s dotted and his t’s crossed, and if the ‘ratio’ in bar is off, he walks out in disgust and the night’s plans for gaming come to an immediate end. He is intelligent but very clearly introverted and has difficulty going out, but, he has dated some hot girls.” For what it’s worth, I consider Roosh a reluctant leader, who stepped up and said the unpopular, unpleasant things that were nevertheless the truth. He has far more skin in the game than I will ever have. By saying the truth, and being vocal about it, recorded for posterity on the internet, he also torpedoed his future. But, if not for him, I would have never wholesale rejected my cultural programming, societal conditioning, and incorrect perceptions of reality. Never met the guy, but if not for him, I would have never started this deep journey. If anything when we get down to it, RVF’s beliefs, binary beliefs, they’re an indictment of extremism, white/black world views, that a lot of more introverted, sensitive guys have. Why do you think it’s always types like David Horowitz and Christopher Hitchens that go from one end of the spectrum, ideologically, to the other? Such thinking, on their part, doesn’t stop when they shift beliefs, they just swing to the other end of the pendulum. —-
